Dynamic Lighting!
Bloodlust: Santa Monica » Devlog
This week I've been doing some tests with 2D lighting, trying to add a bit more of darkness to the overall ambience of the rooms. I've used dynamic lighting to add some lights and shadows to the pixels. Here's a GIF of the dynamic lighting in use. Note that the TV and the fridge add their own twinkling lights to the scene. Also notice that all NPCs have a subtle idle animation of just one pixel up and down (that will be known as the "pixel dance"). It's not visible in the GIF, but I've also added a sound manager to play music and sound effects.
